Faraz Khan has developed Pakistan's first cost effective, super efficient and long range electric car - Elektra 1. Faraz has converted his old Suzuki Mehran car into an electrically charged vehicle that runs on the power stored in the 12 deep cycle batteries attached to an electric motor that replaces the engine and requires no lubrication mechanism like conventional cars.
Elektra 1 costs almost 10% in fuel as compared to petrol cars and very much environment friendly.
Faraz Ruknuddin Khan, who is co-founder & Chief Architect at Emergen Consulting, is also working on Elektra 2 - A purpose built fiber body electric car with more power and long range than Elektra 1.
