Ufone has been shortlisted among the top 5 Best Telecom Brands of The Year Award for the upcoming The Telecoms World Awards - Middle East. Ufone is the only company in Pakistan that is selected in any category of the Awards. Although it is a remarkable achievement for Ufone, Ufone along with other Telecoms must try to be nominated among other categories next year.

What Alienates Top Performers

The idea is to reward top performers better than average performers and give more value to the achievements of top performers than seniority achieved through spending time at office.

Asia - World's fastest growing golf market
Yang Yong-eun, of South Korea has become the first man to win PGA Championship from Asia who overtook Tiger Woods to win the PGA Championship at Hazeltine. The Sunday's PGA Championship victory makes Asia more attractive to sponsorship of more major golf events.
‘This is a fantastic win not only for Yang but also for golf in Asia,’ said Asian Tour chief Kyi Hla Han.
While the impact on youngsters taking up the game may be limited to Yang's native country, rising Japanese talent Ryo Ishikawa said it would make a difference to how Asian players were perceived. ‘His victory has changed people's view of Asian golfers,’ the 17-year-old said.
‘I haven't suddenly thought I can win a major just because he did. But it will give us all added motivation to try to be in contention at the big tournaments.’ More...

Retail Business at Beijing Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport has said it will soon allow interested businesses to bid for a slot at one of the airport's three terminals. Hundreds of well-known enterprises have already expressed an interest in bidding for floor space, especially in the airport's ultra-modern Terminal 3. The bidding will cover retail space in all three terminals, with a total area of 100,000 square meters.
